hi all, i am trying to install mandrake 9.0 on an extra computer. my computers specs are amd duron 950mhz and 256 mb sdram.

i am booting from cd (using an old hp cdwriter) and i get to the screen that says "loading program into memory" with the red bar...it gets to about 5-10% and then the screen goes black and displays this message:

----------------

error in exec of stage2:-(

trying to execute 'usrbinruninstall2' from the installation volume,

the following fatal error occured

FATAL ERROR IN STAGE1: Not a directory

I can't recover from this.

You may reboot your system.

-------------------

any ideas or help is appreciated:)
