I'm looking for a version that is easy-moderately easy to use. I have a very small background in Linux, so advanced versions probably wouldn't be for me. But the big factor in this is my computer. Gowator Posted September 21, 2003 Report Share Posted September 21, 2003 I think the initrd only started to be used for the install (isolinux) about 8.0 or 8.1 This is what takes the memory for boot-up... It basically makes a RAMDISK (which needs to be reasonably large) for the whole boot kernel. I don't know how it will run with 32MB after the install but perhaps this is what you need ???
