Most Efficient Version

I'm looking for which version of Linux is the most efficient for myself.

I'm looking for a version that is easy-moderately easy to use. I have a very small background in Linux, so advanced versions probably wouldn't be for me. But the big factor in this is my computer.

I am running an Intel Pentium 2 processor at 233MHZ with MMX technology, with 32MB of RAM.

I think the initrd only started to be used for the install (isolinux) about 8.0 or 8.1

This is what takes the memory for boot-up...

It basically makes a RAMDISK (which needs to be reasonably large) for the whole boot kernel.

I don't know how it will run with 32MB after the install but perhaps this is what you need ???
