Guest chino Posted September 8, 2003 Report Share Posted September 8, 2003 Hi. i finaly got my winmodem connection lastnigth. I'm not sure how it dial, but in a moment a was "in" the internet... To meke modprobe i need to be root, and this is neccesary to dial. How can i, then, connect be only a user, and the other user in my pc (three or four) can do it too. The other question is about desconnection. As i don't andestood clearly how it connect, i can't desconnect (unconnect?). I shutdown the pc and reload, but have some trouble... I had probe drakconnect, but failed, i tried with linuxconf but don't detect modems... then i remembered modules and type modprobe mlamrmo, and the i listened the phone and was dialing up. One thing i sure, never use kppp or wvdial (at least concious). In a moment, after make install-amr mdk ask my for a installation cd; to install a dialer i supose.
