bromar Posted September 7, 2003 Report Share Posted September 7, 2003 I'm installing 9.1 and get the message 'dhcp-client rpm not found.' after the Add User stage of the installation. I click OK and it proceeds to the Install Bootloader stage and once I click Next the 'dhcp-client rpm not found.' message redisplays and after clicking OK it's back to the Install Bootloader screen. After this clicking Next is an endless loop between the 'dhcp-client' message and the Install Bootloader screen. I selected the 'Office Workstation' and 'Internet station' package groups by the way. tyme Posted September 7, 2003 Report Share Posted September 7, 2003 did you do an md5sum check on the ISO's before you burned them? sounds like your cds are bad and you're missing an RPM, which for some reason the installer really, really doesn't like. Ixthusdan Posted September 7, 2003 Report Share Posted September 7, 2003 If you are on any kind of network, internet or otherwise, mandrake really wants to install dhcp. It has a function at the end to go online and auto update (which I have never used) so it is making sure it can perform all of the installation functions. I did find the dhcp-client RPM on the first CD and installed it and it's dependencies. The OS will boot but I don't get a graphic login even on F7. bromar Posted September 8, 2003 Author Report Share Posted September 8, 2003 I selected and deselected alot of the Package Groups and that seemed to get an install with dhcp.
