LFS: cant use poweroff, reboot, shutdown, halt....

As normal user i cant use them, it says i dont have the permission and that i need to be superuser, even when im in the group or own the files or i have set the permissions

--- also, i would like to know in wich groups i am, if someone knows the command please, i coulnd find it in the man pages about useradd, moduser... etc...

 

some tips ??

I d/k the answer...I never found a solution but based on a reply to a post I had about it and the the info I found, it points to pam/console.perms. From the man console.perms

Hi bvc (i found a post of you on linuxquestions forum about Imlib2 and libttf.so, it solved my problem!! thnx!)

 

i dont have such man pages, there is no console.perms file either and also, i dont know what PAM is it.

Sorry, i had a problem installing imlib2 and searching i ended up in a thread of yours wich had the answer about using freetype 1 !! has nothing to do with shutdown!!!

 

anyway, i still dont understand why i cant get halt working... its pretty weird becouse i dont think all the user who have an LFS log in as roots, or su to root just to poweroff.

 

i will keep looking.
