Display url in konqueror [solved]

Something screwy with konqueror. I put in a url and I get source code displayed instead of the web page. If instead, I try a fish url as in: "fish://root@27.225.96.187/usr/local/tomcat/webapps/" I get a popup that says "Using sub-URLs with fish is not supported."

 

I must have broken something when I added the "Find" item to the toolbar. So, at the moment I can't transfer files back and forth to my web site.

That will happen when you use the 'File management' profile. Try switching to the 'Navegação (navigation) Web Mandriva' profile.

Hmm, now do you think that option was named by Mandriva's French team or the Brazilian team? ;)

I've never mucked about with those profiles, and Konqueror just always displays web pages as web pages for me.

I've never had this either until the 2009.0 - KDE 3.5.10 release, but it appears to be here now. :huh:

This is really bizarre. I went into konqueror and brought up the Web Browsing profile and opened a web page correctly. Then I closed konqueror and opened it up again using file management as the profile. Now, even though I am in a file manager view, web pages again display correctly. Whatever the issue was, it was fixed by accessing a web page one time in the Web Browsing view.
