why I can't boot

Mandrake 9.1 for RS/6000 F50

Mandrake 9.1 for PPC

 

From RS/6000 F50(two 604e-166CPU£¬2*128M£¬9.1GHD£©fireware prompt

I input the follow words

 

0>boot floppy:zimage fake_initrd root=/dev/fd0 rw load_ramdisk=1 ramdisk_size=36000

 

when I press Enter,it show:

 

gunzipping (0x00010000<-0x00406268:0x005103Be)...done 2371248bytes

49112 bytes of heap consumed,max in use 41064

start address-0x10000

instantiating rtas at 00600000...done

copying OF device tree ...done

starting cpu /cups/PowerPC,604@1...ok

calling quiesce...

returning 0x00010000 from prom_init

 

 

show the things on the front LCD£ºLinux/PPC 2.4.21 Have fun!

I really don't understand your question, but seeing you have not gotten a response yet, I will try.

 

Your problem may be rooted in one of the many bugs released with 9.1, in particular... making a boot disk... see these posts:
