red floyd
I have a problem... When I try to run TuxRacer (under either Enlightenment or KDE), I get really bad screen flickering, artifacts on the display, and then it crashes, leaving the screen in 640x480 mode. This is really noticable in the "Who Says Penguins Can't Fly" course. I'm running the 4363 nVidia drivers on MDK 9.1 with the 2.4.21-2.4.21-0.25mdk kernel (drivers rebuilt after kernel update). tyme
there are new nvidia drivers out. They are supposedly more stable...I would install them and see if it helps: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux.html (4496 is the new version)
bvc
Welcome! The first thing, if the new drivers don't help, that I'd try is edit your X config file to (res the game is set to example -->) DefaultColorDepth 16 Modes "640x480" #"1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" so X starts in 16bit 640x480, and see if it still happens. Is the Xrandr ext or whatever being used? Anyone know if this effects this sorta thing? Do; xdpyinfo
