Rama Murthy
Hi, Totem player starts up automatically every time I login to my GNOME session. I have checked the startup tab in gnome-control-center. Totem is not listed in that. I want to stop totem from starting itself automatically at startup. Kindly help me with this. Kieth
See if there is a "quit" and "close" option in the file menu. If the icon is in the panel bar when you close Totem, then it might start when you turn on the computer. Kaffeine does that to me all the time. If there is a quit option, then choose that when you are through with Totem.
Rama Murthy
Thanks! for your time. There is a "quit" option in "Movie" menu. Also, there is no totem icon on the panel bar when I "quit" Totem. But, it starts again when I reboot/re-login my GNOME session.
Kieth
OK, I just downloaded and installed Totem. See if this works. Instead of choosing "quit" in the "Movie" menu, choose "close" by first choosing the arrow that is above the "Movie" menu. "close" is also the alt-f4 keyboard command.
