Ixthusdan
When I launch my kde desktop, the new OO starts up automatically! Very curious behaviour. Any ideas on how to stop it? I can't find where it is initiating from. It is a nicer version, so I'm looking forward to the final on this one.
Guest BooYah
What have you checked so far?
frosterrj
look in your./.kde/.autostart folder. That where you should find things set to start on launch.
Ixthusdan
I thought so too. but there is nothing in my /.kde/autostart folder, nor is there any new entry in any of my "x" ini files. I don't know how it is starting. I unpacked and installed it in my home directory.
Ixthusdan
Found the problem. You guys will like this. I keep a terminal open all of the time, because I use it to browse the file structure, power off and reboot, and switch users. (I also like Midnight Commander) Apparently, The directory which contains the bootable for OO was somehow saved by session when I powered off, and would come back after reboot! I still don't know why it auto launched, but after changing to my home directory and saving the settings, it is fixed!
