Guest descentr
I'm considering upgrading to a GeForce4 and I'd like to hear from anyone who has or hasn't had success getting dual monitors running (especially with 9.0). Search engines haven't been any help, so if anyone here has a dual setup running with a single GF4 card I'd like to hear how you did it. Thanks. afrosheen
It's all about the readme file that Nvidia provides. It explains how to add lines to your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file to use a twinview setup in linux.
Guest descentr
Have you had success with a dual monitor setup using the instructions they provide? That is mainly what I'm concerned about...
afrosheen
I know that people had no trouble with this on Mandrake 8.2 and I doubt 9 is any different since X hasn't changed. If you search the old mandrakeuser.org you'll find posts on it.
Guest descentr
Mandrakeuser.org wasn't responding at the time I posted this question... but it seems to be working now. For a while I thought it was gone. It seems that browsing through Google I've seen more people saying twinview or xinerama don't work rather than that they do... but of course more people are going to report problems rather than successes.
