how do I post messages via telnet port 119 innd

I configured INND and remote users can access and post

problem is I dont know how to post & can't find any info books or otherwise.

 

I telnet into the sytem as so and issue the following commands

#telnet 192.168.1.23 119

200 example.com InterNetNews server INN 2.3.4 ready

#mode reader

200 example.com InterNetNews server INN 2.3.4 ready posting okay

# help

100 legal comands

 

authinfo user Name|pass Password|generic <prog><args>

post

next

slave & all kinds of other commands

now what any thing I do if I type and then put a period on a line by itself like in sendmail to end gives

441 Article has no body -- just headers :evil:

then anything else gives

500 what? :evil:

 

anybody got any clues?

okay, so does anybody know how pan works or how to add newsgroups through ctlinnd?

 

I got pan to connect and it'll send with no error messages, but I cant read what i post and the group is blank, if I add a group in pan than it doesn't get sent to the server
