AussieJohn
A warm welcome to MUB, bxiong. It is quite simple. Open MCC (Mandriva Control Centre) ..........Software Management............Install and Remove Software. Set the Top left tab to All then set the adjacent tab to Installed then in the Find part, type in kaffeine then press enter. Remove the tick/s from the item/s you want to delete and click on Apply. Cheers. John. Edited June 14, 2008 by AussieJohn
liquidzoo
If you're a command line junkie, you can also type urpme <packagename> As root in a terminal to perform the same function. Edited June 14, 2008 by liquidzoo
scarecrow
"urpme kaffeine" at a root console will do. Have in mind that after doing that konqueror will likely fail to play streaming media- you can fix that issue by either using another KDE app with browser plugin (e.g. kmplayer) or mplayerplugin for Firefox (konqueror will adopt it happily), or the mighty gnome-mplayer/gecko-mediaplayer combo (the name is deceptive- gnome-mplayer has no gnome dependencies, it's just a pure gkt2 mplayer frontend).
