qeldroma
Is it possible? I saw the config-files in my home directories, but they include pathes, so i can't copy and chown them. Are there files somewhere that define the KDE-default-settings?
mystified
If you look in your KDE Control Center, Sessions, Login Manager, Convenience there is an option to preselect a user.

Counterspy
It would seem to me that you would need to change the Mandrake default desktop wherever it is and change it to achieve what you want. Look at the .kde file in the user's desktop the way Mandrake configures it and work back from there. Counterspy
Guest bradenm
Two options: 1) Change KDE global config files in /usr/share/config/ . These will be the default settings for all users, overridden only by configs in ~/.kde . Also, make sure that there's nothing in the /usr/bin/startkde script that will override your changes. 2) Copy your ~/.kde template to /etc/skel/.kde/ . I'm not sure if this will work or not, though. I will try. 2) Copy your ~/.kde template to /etc/skel/.kde/ . I'm not sure if this will work or not, though. Doesn't work because of hardcoded pathes to the home/user-dir in the files.
