Here is the thing. I could care less about network security on my system. I'm on dial-up so my IP is different everyday and I'm only connected when I'm in fromt of the box, it's a home machine, not worried aabout the other comps in the house, I want to make samba as incesure as possible. How do you make it so that anybody with any login can connect from a windows machine for basic stuff like printing??

In either Webmin (https:/localhost:10000) or SWAT (https://localhost:901....I think that's the right port number), there is an option to convert Unix users to Samba users and I think it gives you the option to automatically sync when you create a new Unix user. Their Samba password will be the same as their Unix password. Then you can set Samba up for user level access instead of share level. I think this is what you are looking for? If you want to be able to access Samba shares/printers from the web, that's beyond me, but I'm sure it is possible.

No, not quite, I want people on the local network, running windows boxes, to be able to share printers WITHOUT any login or password. i.e, I want to allow annonymous conections.

Let me explain why. My girlfriend's laptop runs XP and her login is her full legal name with punctuation and spacing. So, to set up a unix login on my box with the same name is impossible, so I would have to set up a new user on her computer, transfer all the files and settings she has now to the new user and then delete the current user. That's kind a of a pain in the ass.

There is an option somewhere in SWAT or Webmin for 'no passwords'. Let me look, because I'm at home now.

Edit: Back with more info. You can make sure Webmin is running and go to:

https://127.0.0.1:10000/samba/

And click your share or printer to edit it (or create new ones). Click 'Allow Guest'. That should do it.
