AussieJohn
I am finding that if I open a page in Firefox that contains a flash video that if I click on the video then Firefox drops out (crashes or call it what you will). Reopening Firefox and selecting restore opened pages and then clicking on the same flash video it plays AOK with no problems. It started occurring after a Firefox update but I cannot remember if it started with the latest update or one earlier and has continued through. Has anyone else encountered this ???. I seem to vaguely remember seeing posts some where about Flash videos causing Firefox dropouts. Cheers. John.
Gul Dukat
Which Firefox and which Flash-version are you talking about, John?
scarecrow
Yep, same Q as Gul Dukat. I've had various Firefox crashes with flash in the past, but currently FF 3.0 beta 5 and flashplugin 9.0.124 are working just great together.
daniewicz
Running firefox from the command line might give you a diagnostic error message to work with.
daniewicz
Firefox 2.0.0.14 and Shockwave Flash 9.0 r115 working fine here on Mandriva 2008.

AussieJohn
I found the answer was to install two flash rpms that I had downloaded ages ago, and had been using in 2007.1 and 2008-Free. The two are ............FlashPlayer-9.0.31.0-1mde2007.0.i586.rpm ................................flashplayer9_install_i385_100107.rpm Seems like software gets worse instead of better as time goes on. :D Cheers. John.
iphitus
Flash has always been _terrible_ trouble. Not displaying, crashing... it's been doing it forever.
