I don't have Mandrake 9.1...

And I'm currently writing this from the new system, which is up and operational, apparently 100%, except for a few things;

* I get an error message regarding a device, most likely the onboard video being disabled by the BIOS.

* HardDrake crashes the desktop when an nVidia card beyond the ones found in the database is detected (in my case, I installed the GeForce4 MX440 that came with the system.

* I can't figure out how to burn CDs yet (permissions, applications for it, etc.).

* I had a HD conflict with my newer Western Digital 80 GB and my old Seagate 10GB that is now configured as backup (I think I resolved it by removing the jumper from the Western Digital, even though the HD's diagram shows that the jumoer should be set for Master with slave attached, it works better with the Master or Single setting).

* I lost a lot of personal data (mostly game saves and my martial arts program attendence records).

Framerates are as follows:

$ glxgears

7348 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1469.600 FPS

8785 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1757.000 FPS

8855 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1771.000 FPS

9259 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1851.800 FPS

9263 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1852.600 FPS

9881 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1976.200 FPS

10143 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2028.600 FPS

10299 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2059.800 FPS

10186 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2037.200 FPS

10097 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2019.400 FPS

So I'm pretty happy.
