Guest Christian Tardif Posted April 14, 2008 Report Share Posted April 14, 2008 Hi, Working on my brand new 2008.1, I didn't find my way at succesfully install and experiment wirh compiz under fglrx driver (card: FireGL V5200, in a Thinkpad T60p). When trying to start compiz by hand (just to find out what's going on), I get a: compiz (core) - Fatal: No composite extension X Logs seems to show that composite extension loads, but compiz says no. I tried with fglrx drivers from MDV 2008.1 PWP, as well as the drivers brought from ATI directly. DRI works as expected (glxinfo shows Direct Rendering: YES), and glxgears works very well (so does fgl_glxgears) I need a little help to get through this one.
