Guest stieu
I run two computers using one keyboard, one monitor, one mouse. I use a Belkin 2-Port KVM switch which supports PS2 mice and keyboard. One computer is running Windows XP PRO SP2 One computer is running Mandriva Powerpack 2008.0 Using the KVM switch by hotkey combination to switch back and forth from one to the other computer. When using the switch, no problems are experienced in XP. My mouse performs correctly when using Mandriva. The problem occurs after I switch to XP and then back to Mandriva. At this point, the mouse still operates the left and right button correctly, but the wheel button stops responding in Mandriva. I can restart the Mandriva computer and the mouse works correctly again. Here are the sections of my xorg.conf file for the mouse: Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Mouse1" Driver "mouse" Option "Protocol" "MouseManPlusPS/2" Option "Device" "/dev/mouse" EndSection Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Mouse2" Driver "evdev" Option "bustype" "0x0011" Option "product" "0x0002" Option "vendor" "0x0002" EndSection I am using a Logitech First Mouse+ (PS2) I am running 2.6.22.18-desktop-1mdv Is there anything I can do to stop the problem from happening? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! _________________________________ Thanks daniewicz! Cold boot of both computers solved the issue. Much appreciated! daniewicz
Sometimes my Belkin KVM switch does funny things. I find that if I am having problems the first thing to do is "reboot" the KVM. Shut down both computers so that power is removed from the KVM. Then start up the computers one by one.
