Guest spbichsel
i have the ati radeon hd 2400 pro pci card and am having trouble installing the driver for it. when in KDE(as root), i get a message saying that there is no application able to run the installer. however, when i'm in gnome as my default user name, it starts running the script, then pauses, and tells me to run it as super user. i understand why i need to be a super user. after i was able to start gnome as a super user and clicked on the istaller file, a terminal window opened and crunched for a little and then...nothing. ps: when i enter the path to the installer in terminal, it says "bash: ati-driver-installer-8-3-x86.x86_64.run: command not found" Edited April 1, 2008 by spbichsel
Greg2
We need to know a bit more info to help you. Is your PC 64bit? Did you install a 64bit system? Do you want to use KDE or Gnome? Do you have an internet connection with this system? If you answer these questions for us, I'm sure that there's a kernel module in the repos for you, probably as easy as 'urpmi dkms-fglrx-hd2000'? Welcome to the board! :)
