Guest ShaunP1989
I am having a problem installing GCC, each time I try I get the following message: [root@localhost 4.2.2]# urpmi gccA requested package cannot be installed: gcc-4.2.2-3.1mdv2008.0.i586 (due to unsatisfied binutils[>= 2.16.91.0.7-6mdk]) I have searched the net and cant find a solution... scarecrow
That package is from updates, while a matching binutils (1.17.50.0.12) is at main. So, if you have set your repos properly (via easyurpmi) there should be no issues. Try "urpmi binutils" first if the message persists, and you could also try "urpmi gcc4.3" which is a newer version, also present at "main".
