GRUB no longer works after reinstalling Windows XP

I recently reinstalled Windows XP since it reached its "Windows half life". After the reformat, the GRUB screen that lets me choose between Mandriva 2006 installation (yes, I know, it's antiquated) and XP no longer appears, and skips right to loading XP. What's the best way to restore the GRUB screen?

Please note that I am willing to lose the data on the Linux partition, but I don't want to unexpectedly erase my XP partition.
