Recently installed Mandrake and later installed Star Office 5.2....Question........I find the program in homeetc., but how do I start the program, I have tried all the icons with no success? liquidzoo Posted May 19, 2003 Report Share Posted May 19, 2003 I think that to run star office from a command line you would type staroffice in a terminal window. I could be wrong about this, it's been a long time since I've installed StarOffice and I don't have it on my machine currently. You could try typing star and pressting the tab key in the terminal window. That should tell you if that command is correct. If so, just make a link to a new application on your desktop, in the execute tab just type in 'staroffice' or whatever the actual command is, without the quotes.
