Guest jwl
Well, I no longer have system-wide Anti-Aliased fonts. They do work within a few applications (like Moz and OpenOffice) but they don't generally work with X anymore. Something happened, and quite a few of my fonts went haywire, only showing a small box rather than the character. I determined that all of the "broken" fonts were in /usr/share/fonts/ttf . So using drakconf, I removed those fonts. I then reinstalled the packages from my MDK CD. Now the fonts are back, and I can see them, but the anti-aliasing is gone. Yes, I have "use anti-aliased fonts" checked in the KDE control panel --> LooknFeel --> Fonts. Anyone have any idea what happened here? jwl
DragonMage
Try reinstalling the hacked freetype and freetype-devel rpms? Xft rpms?
