coverup
Xrandr allows one to rotate the screen. This seems to be a very useful feature for those who do a lot of text editing - it gives you a long page-like screen. However, after I turn the screen sidewise, I have to scroll "left-right" to make mouse go "up-down", which is a bit tricky to get used to. Does anybody know, is it pissible to rotate the screen AND touchpad at the same time?

theYinYeti
I suppose "they" just didn't think about this. Touchpads are usually found on laptops, and laptops are not the kind of things you usually rotate. Yves.
coverup
"They" who? Isn't the screen rotation designed for tablets, and tablets are ... err... laptops of some kind?
theYinYeti
"They" who?I don't really know... *synaptics programmers, I guess.Isn't the screen rotation designed for tablets, and tablets are ... err... laptops of some kind?Screen rotation was designed at a time when tablets were still quite new. Text-typing, however, existed since a long time ago, and I remember seeing rotated screens on typists' desks more or less 20 years ago. Yves.
