edwardp Posted February 17, 2008 Author Report Share Posted February 17, 2008 And a good guess, too. :D Desktops 1 and 2 are custom-built AT-based systems and do not actually power off by themselves (they never did), those require the power button in front. I do not know whether Lilo does since I have not used it for years. When I had the problems with Mandriva 2007 and experimented with the final result of adding nomsi in the boot instructions, there was never anything that used quotes. Cheers. John.
