Guest Jose
I am having a problem with looking at my Windows Computer's files using Samba on the Linux box. I can access my Linux box from Windows, and I can see all my lan computers in both systems. But when I click on any of the icons of my Window's computers when on my Linux box, it shows nothing in them. The browser window changes as if it going down one level, but that level is blank, as if my Windows computers have no files in them. Does anyone know what this could possibly be? In Nautilus I am typing: smb://workgroup
mtweidmann
Have you tried using something like Komba2 or LinNeighborhood? I found them much easier to work with.
tyme
I find LinNeighborhood is extremely easy, and through that they get mounted on your system into ~/mnt/machinename/sharefoldername you should be able to get LinNeighborhood through urpmi-other off the CDs or off the contrib servers.
