gmac
I have a lexmark x75 all in one that i can't get to work. have tried X73 as being closest, no luck. When left to own devices it detects a Z53 (which it is not) However, it still does not work. Any suggestions?
emh
You might want to check this page out: http://www.linuxprinting.org/printer_list....gi?make=Lexmark x75 isn't listed in there, and, to my knowledge, Lexmark doesn't provide a driver for this one. (They do for the z23, z33, z25, and z35.) I have a feeling you probably won't be getting it to work. Are you using CUPS as your printing system? Try using LPRng or PDQ. Don't take my word for it, though. Somebody else might have gotten it working. There's a forum on there as well where someone else who has used it might be able to help a little more. Guest JaseP
I have a Z52. It is marginally supported. It still won't print to legal size paper no matter what I do. However the X75 is not supported, nor is it likely to be. If I am correct that is a multi-function device (scanner, copier, printer, fax). Drivers for those are more complex and Lexmark is probably not committed to supporting Linux THAT much. Someone might develop an Open Source solution, however.
