riorama
Howdy, Howdy Im trying to get a few avi files I downloaded through pan to glue together. I remember that in windows there wa a free program called pecks power join that did this, but I'm dam determined to do this with the mighty Mandrake! I have tried to open files with the broadcast program, but they wont even happen that way. I know that I have the codec, because xine works fine. Any hints? Is this just a copy/past thing? What am I missing here? As usual, any help will earn you my first born, my cat, and the roach I have sitting in the ashtray. Thanks ken
Cannonfodder
For avi files, it is not a copy/paste thing. But you can check on www.freshmeat.net for avi join or media type programs. Just use the search feature :)
qnr
There are two things here. Media files, as mentioned, use special tools to join and split files. However, it sounds like you mean they were split across multiple newsgroup postings. We need to know how they were split. What is the .ext? For example, if it Is .rar then you'll need to install unrar - which might come with your disks, or be available from one of your urpmi download sites. If not, here's the home: terry@timestorm: /home/terry 10:01:12 $ gaze website unrar unrar: http://www.rarlab.com
