ffi
modprobe acerhk force_series=6000 makes my acer laptop extra keys work but after rebooting I need to modprobe again, even if I add option acerhk force_series=6000 to /etc/modprobe.conf I could only find a guide in polish :( to get everything working http://eko.one.pl/index.php?page=AristoSmart400
Greg2
Normally you would add a single module with 'no options' to /etc/modprobe.preload, but this is different. I would suggest adding the line modprobe acerhk force_series=6000 to your /etc/rc.d/rc.local file. I'm using similar lines for 2 of my modules, and it works for me. ffi
I had done that but it seemed hackish and I was wondering why adding to modprobe.conf didn't work
