Guest gg4
I'm going to install linux on a Maxtor DiamondMax 9 hard drive. The drive came with a cd that is said prepared it for a windows install (not mentioning linux). Do I still need to run this cd (which requires no OS)? It doesn't really mention what it does. From the website, it doesn't seem so. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience in the area.
tyme
no, you don't need to run the CD. the mandrake install disks contain all the tools you need to install onto a new hard drive.
