Guest Muggins
got everything installed and working on 2008 64 bit (except flash player). i have an Asus A8N-E (nVidia chipset) and boot from IDE drive. Now booting stops with an error reading the partition of the first SATA drive sda1. 2007.1 with the same hardware has no problems, and 2008.0/32 also exhibits this (bad) behavior. This is grub with a dual boot of 2008.0/32 and 2008.0/64. When i installed 64bit Mandriva on a second partition with an existing 2008.0/32 it did not add to the existing boot menu, but replaced it with the 64bit version. i manually added the 32bit mandriva to the 64bit boot menu. i have swapped the SATA HD for another, and put the drive on a different port. There is a sata DVD drive and another sata HD on the same controller. This all works a treat on 2007.1 i am going to try 2008.0/32 on a drive by itself to see if my issue is related to dual boot 2008.0/32 on a drive by itself seems to boot fine.
