dexter11
The KDE community today released KDE 3.5.8. While the developers' main focus lies on finishing KDE 4.0, the stable 3.5 series remains the desktop of choice for the time being. It is proven, stable and well supported. The 3.5.8 release with its literally hundreds of bugfixes has again improved the users' experience. The 3.5.8 info page lists how to get the sources and distribution packages. For a detailed list of improvements since the KDE 3.5.7 release on the 22nd May 2007, please refer to the KDE 3.5.8 Changelog. source: dot.kde.org
adamw
For anyone wondering about Mandriva packages, Gustavo Boiko of the KDE team posted this on the Cooker mailing list: "For KDE 3.5.8, we have almost everything this version has. Most of the bugfixes have been backported to cooker before 2008 was released, so it contains a very stable version. So if you are using cooker, you are already testing most of the things of 3.5.8, don't worry." You can read that "If you are using cooker" as "If you are using cooker or 2008".
