Guest Chris C.
I just installed Mandriva 2007 and everything is working beautifully. The one problem I am having is, I have sound when the pc boots but, when i try to watch a video on youtube or such, I get no audio. Is there a setting I need to adjust? Thanks in advance! EDIT: It seems the sound is only working on system startup. It wont work at all for videos or music or games... Edited September 2, 2007 by Chris C. AussieJohn
Welcome to the wonderful and free world of Linux and the MUB. Am I correct in assuming that you are using KDE ?. If you are then go to Menu......Multimedia........Sound and look for KMix sound mixer and click on it. Make sure that the sliders for BOTH Volume and PCM are near the top but not fully to the top. Also make sure that the associated lights are a light glowy green and not a dark green. Let us know if this helps. Cheers. John.
