This I don't understand, can someone pleas explain/help me ?

My system:

2.16.17-5mdv

Used easyurpmi to setup:

main

contrib

main_updates

plf_free

plf_nonfree

--------------------------------

Today when I tried to update my system using MCC(:

System->Configuration->Configure Your Computer ->

"Look at availaible updates and apply any fixes and upgrades to installed packages."

I get :

Sorry, the folowing packages can't be selected.

libdha1.0-1.0-1.pre8.13.4plf2007.0.i586

mplayer-1.0-1.pre8.13.4mdv2007.0.i586

Missed that I've got 'update source' as well.

If I check the MCC-update again I get :

"Sorry, the following packages can't be selected.

libdha1.0-1.0-1.pre8.13.4plf2007.0.i586"

So mplayer seems to be OK now.

In this case it happened because both the official Mandriva repos and the plf repo has mplayer packaged. That's because some codec support cannot be compiled into the official version because of licensing issues. So plf makes an mplayer package with all codecs support compiled in. These two mplayer package can conflict in certain cases.
