Sunwatcher
Newbie here. I installed mplayer through the control center, but it doesn't appear in the applications menu. I went to a terminal and typed in 'mplayer' which got me some help options, but I really don't understand the use of the command line yet. So, is there a way I can put mplayer into the gnome applications menu? Also, is there some place where I can find basic command line help for mplayer? Many thanks. adamw
You could also install the mplayer-gui package, which installs a GUI for mplayer that you will see on the start menus. There's other mplayer front-ends available, like smplayer (which fits well into KDE) and gnome-mplayer (which fits well into GNOME).
