Spring Project Game

Hi,

 

This game looks great :

I tried to install it on mdv 2007 spring but got some conflicts....

 

has Anyone installed it successfully?

So far here is the output I get :

I am trying on Ubuntu as well which at least installs the game, the I get a "no maps" error later on which might just be a case of putting the right files in the right directory.

 

I was hoping Artificial Intelligence to give that a try .... ;)

You can probably get it installed by removing the spring-data-0.74-0.b1.1mdv2007.1 package and installing the new one.

I guess this is the problem :

 

[root@localhost spring_0.74b3]# urpmq -f spring

spring-0.74-0.b2.2mdv2007.1.i586

[root@localhost spring_0.74b3]# urpmq -f spring-data

spring-data-0.74-0.b1.1mdv2007.1.noarch

[root@localhost spring_0.74b3]#

 

 

Spring is b2.2 version where spring-data is b1.1!!!

Did anyone try to install Spring with --force and --nodep??? It works if it's installed that way?

 

[Edit]: OK, I tryed, but it still refuses to install. Is there a way to force urpmi to install a program regardless of any version conflict error???

Try --allow-nodeps or --allow-force.

 

I've never had to use these, so use them at your own risk. :P

it's not that obvious a bug: there is no beta2 or beta3 version of the data package. see:

I'll see if I can sort out the conflict somehow.
