I have recently switched from GNOME to KDE, I'm using Mandriva 2007 spring, I had no problems installing the drivers for Netgear WG111T with ndsiwrapper on GNOME but I have a lot of problems on KDE.

When I type in ndiswrapper I get:

[root@localhost luka]# ndiswrapper -l
Installed drivers:
athfmwdl driver installed, hardware present

Then when I try to configure network... I lead you through:

1. Network & Internet configuration: I choose Wireless

2. Use a Windows driver: Next

3. Here comes the first problem ! (I have 3 windows opened 1. Same one(Use a Windows driver), 2. Please wait looking for required software and drivers and 3. drakconnect with installed drivers where I choose the athfmwdl !)

4. So I choose it and click next (use the ndiswrapper driver athfmwdl) (3rd window)

5. I get ERROR Unable to find the NDISWRAPPER interface (I click OK)

6. I get another ERROR (Some components (firmware) are required but aren't available for ndiswrapper hardware.Firmware files are required for this device.

The required files can also be installed from this URL:

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/List)

7. I click OK again and I'm back at 2.

Please help I really need this to work !

Thank you

P.S. I have tried reinstalling mandriva and it didn't work, but it works ok on GNOME version that I had installed before.
