Guest greeneggs
I hav'nt used MDK in awhile and I remember in previous versions, you used to be able to simply reboot and then when the login screen came up, you would just select "root" and type in your root password. I could not find anything like this in MDK 9.1. I need to log into root and delete files but I need to do this graphically through Konquer so I can see the folders I want to delete. How do I do this? qnr
Basically, you don't. Ever. Period. You'll form a rip in the Space-Time Continuum that will doom us all! You should have a menu entry inside KDE that says "File Manager (Super User Mode)" or something like that..... If you can't find it, open up a terminal and type kdesu konqueror or kdesu kfm Sorry I can't be more specific since I have neither KDE nor Mandrake installed.
