klingacik
Hi all Im a beginner in Linux, I've installed my first Linux(Mandriva) yesterday. Everything is going very nice. but one thing bothers me. Ok the sound is playing always from the notebook speakers, and even then if I insert the jack from the speakers in the connection the sound is comming from my notebook speakers. I have some strange feeling that the audio drivers arent properly installed. I didnt try to play musis (mp3's) on mandriva. Thank you very very much
Mhn
If you are running KDE: start the program Kmix (if it's only in the system tray, then right click -> Show mixer window), then go to the tab 'Switches' then make sure Headphone Jack Sense and Line Jack Sense are checked (the "lights" beside them should shine yellow). I'm sure other mixing software got something similar.
