Could you please provide us with more info please? Which temp folder (give us a path if you can) and what are the zip files?

To remove them you could probably use the rm command. But lets first get more info and sort everything out.

Welcome to the board :)

Hi Guys,

yes sorry I was a bit lacking in detail.

When Im trying to start mandriva - I get to the log in screen, and I can add password and user name. Howver when KDE starts to load it stops and I get an error window which says that the /tmp folder is full and KDE cant load??

Im on the work laptop at the moment. Do you need th exact wording.

Ive tried the rm -rf/usr/home/tmp* command but that hasnt solved it ( if its the right tmp folder as there seems to be more than one but the error command just states /tmp)

I cant get into the command centre but I can get a konsole open.

I sometimes have problems with directories that don't remove, so use this:

rm -rdf /tmp/*

don't ask me why, but the additional d seems to solve my removing of directory problems.
