Guest hkctr
Getting hpoj (ptal-mlcd) errors when using scanner on the HP 1100a laserprinter/scanner. Kooka can't find the scanner in KDE and xsane occasionally does. Strange thing is that while I still get hpoj errors, both Kooka and xsane will find the scanner in Blackbox. I've had this printer before in other distros and I have been able to solve it by not detecting and loading modules for lp, parport and parport-pc at start-up. Just letting hpoj find the ports seems to works best. How do I get Mandrake 9.1 to stop detecting the ports and loading the modules at start-up?
