mightymulatto
I recently updated to mandriva 2007 and almost immediately noticed that Kaffeine and Xine wern't installed. I them went to download xine and upon following the installation instructions got this error after the ./configure command Configure: Error: zlib needed. I checked the package list and it was in there. This next error occured while trying to configure Kaffeine. Checking for libz Configure: error: not found Possibly configure picks an outdated version installed by XFree86. Remove it from your system. Check your installation and look into config.log Lastly the gxine error Configure: Error: libjs not found Most of the package names sound the same in these errors. Are they all related? Soka
Kaffeine is included in the main packages and xine in plf. Go to the easy-urpmi link above and add main and plf to your sources. Then install the packages with urpmi.
mightymulatto
Thanks for the advice. I had to update rpm drake for it to see everything. But I did get it all. Thanks!
