MDK 9.1.

openoffice ran fine until i installed (rebuild SRPM) the nvidia kernel module and GLX driver, now it just freezes on the splash-screen.

starting with the console gives no help.

uninstalled the RPMs and it's still broken... ARRRHGHGHGHG

I downloaded the tarball version from OpenOffice.org and that seems ok.

will have to add my menu items my hand. would like to get to the bottom of this, however!

I have Nvidia 4191, machine compiled, and Open Office. No problem like that here. Although I always first boot to console and set up Nvidia stuff before I ever return to X. So all of my config files are only used with Nvidia-X. Maybe that is a difference.
