Guest fat_larry Posted March 27, 2003 Report Share Posted March 27, 2003 MDK 9.1. openoffice ran fine until i installed (rebuild SRPM) the nvidia kernel module and GLX driver, now it just freezes on the splash-screen. starting with the console gives no help. uninstalled the RPMs and it's still broken... Ixthusdan Posted March 27, 2003 Report Share Posted March 27, 2003 I have Nvidia 4191, machine compiled, and Open Office. No problem like that here. Although I always first boot to console and set up Nvidia stuff before I ever return to X. So all of my config files are only used with Nvidia-X. Maybe that is a difference. Guest Adriano Posted March 27, 2003 Report Share Posted March 27, 2003 I have no idea if this will help (haven't got a Nvidia card), but there's an option in OpenOffice.org (Tools-Options-Openoffice.org/See(I think, my version's in spanish) about using OpenGL for 3d visualization.
