ianw1974
Set up your easyurpmi sources at the top of this page for main, contrib, main_updates, contrib_updates, plf-free and plf-nonfree. Now, just do: urpmi dkms-nvidia the rest will be taken care of for you.
bonebags
tried that and heres what i get [root@localhost john]# urpmi dkms-nvidia unable to access hdlist file of "update_source", medium ignored no package named dkms-nvidia [root@localhost john]#
daniewicz
Did you first setup your easyurpmi sources as ianw1974 suggested?
ianw1974
If you're not sure, show us your sources: urpmq --list-media and if you don't have main, main_updates, contrib, contrib_updates, plf-free and plf-nonfree then you won't be able to install it. dkms is in plf, and therefore you will need at least the repositories I've just mentioned above. ianw1974
You need to post the actual error message, we can't guess what you saw. Anyway, checking if it's working is easy enough: glxinfo | grep direct and if that doesn't work, do: urpmi mesa-demos and then rerun the glxinfo command. If direct rendering = yes, then your card is configured and working fine.
