ATI Rage Mobility M4 Video with 32MB RAM

I'm wondering if anyone has had any success loading mandriva 2007 free onto a Dell Latitude, Model C800 with an ATI Rage Mobility M4 Video w/ 32MB video card?

I'm new to the Linux world and have found no solutions on websites; I've tried changing the V settings using XFdrake and such, however it doesn't help. Everything picks up during install and all looks good till the system gets to the login page. I see 2 verticle lines on the flat panel display, one in the middle of the screen while the other is to the right of it (kinda makes for 3 screens and two mice). I've tried vesa and reduced colors with no help, all works well except video.

Is my card not supported?

Thanks for the help upfront,

While I have not read all of it, I found this link. Hope it helps. I have experience with nvidia and sis products. I avoid ati in linux, although their support has improved markedly in the last 2 years.
