Guest fasih
Hello, I was having this annoying problem of my fan running continuously and loud like an engine with my Pentium 4 fujitsu 2230 c-series laptop running windows XP. I got rid of windows XP and installed few linux distros like Mandriva, kubuntu and knoppix. I got little success in handling my fan speed like atleast my fan stops by itself after a while but still runs continuously as it was before for a long time. I don't know if it is my fujitsu laptop or the pentium 4 problem..?? does anybody know of any solution to this issue..?? have anybody came across this issue..?? I am so fed up that now i want to open up my laptop and check the fan and stuff..maybe there is some serious issue. In mandriva i am playing around with cpudyn to see if it takes care of the issue. thanks, /fasih
Mhn
Have you tried to update the bios? To my laptop it came an update that redused the time the fan was on, or something like that...
tyme
make sure you have the laptop set on a hard, flat surface. read: not your lap.
