mitch Posted January 1, 2007 Report Share Posted January 1, 2007 i installed mandriva on my first harddrive(36gb) and i was planning on using my 2nd hd (200gb) for storage and keeping only the os on the 1st harddrive. but i am nto sure how to set it up so mandriva recognizes the second harddrive... it says i only have 5gb left on my filesystem.. any help? AussieJohn Posted January 2, 2007 Report Share Posted January 2, 2007 Open MCC.............Open Mount Points. Open.....Create, delete and resize hard disk partitions. You will see the two HDDs. Your working drive will be shown and on the firt tab, don't touch anything in it. Click the second tab this brings up your new drive. You will see anumber of tabs that enable you to select the format you want i.e. ext3 and you can even divide the drive into a number of partitions for different data if you want and also give each partition a title. It is all pretty straight forward. When you click Done at the bottom, a pop will ask to save to fstab it is important that you click OK. Cheers.
