ramfree17
i have encountered this once but im sure that urpmf glu.h ] would tell you the OpenGL-related rpm that contains that file (unfortunately a search in rpmfind doesnt reveal anything now :( ). another tip would be to install the libwine rpm. ciao! RedTurtle
thanks ramfree, but i took a look at DOlson's tutorial and followed it, according to him, this is a NVIDIA card problem related and, even though i don't have a NVIDIA card, it worked  anyway, its compiled and installed, just not working yet
ramfree17
thanks ramfree, but i took a look at DOlson's tutorial and followed it, according to him, this is a NVIDIA card problem related and, even though i don't have a NVIDIA card, it worked  anyway, its compiled and installed, just not working yet i also dont have a nvidia card but encountered that error. i am compiling gnucash this morning and noticed a line in the configure stage where i think i saw the glu.h file being referenced from the xfree*-devel package or something. what are you planning to use winex for? im no gamer but am using the wine cvs (or the daily build source package when im lazy) for whatever emulation task i need. i was able to run starcraft and medal of honor in it but prosavage's opengl performance suck so i end up terminating the game itself. :( ciao! RedTurtle
i was planning to use it mainly on gaming and to try some win apps (mainly quicken) but as i couldn't get it to work i ended up subscribing to transgaming winex. Two hours later i incidently got winex cvs working, so i got both now :D
Guest Cicero111
U need the Mesa-devel package. And if you are using the Nvidia GLX-thingie, you must also check the installed Xfree/ Mesa packages. GLX removes several Mesa related files. VeeDubb
So, I'm not clear. What exactly is the solution here? I have the same problem, though I can't afford a subscritption.
emh
Install the libMesaGlu1-devel package. It's on the Mandrake CD's. It contains the glu.h file that the configure script in the first message is referring to.
