rogerh
Hello, I deleted ClamAV and the auto download problem seems to have been fixed. As a note, I did look at a Mandriva 2006 update for ClamAV, in which they alter the distribution standard DEFAULT update period (for 'my' virus database) from EVERY HOUR to once a day - in order to decrease the expected update load on their update system. I guess since I was running Mandriva I was automatically updating my ClamAV database every hour (even though I was not using it). Maybe a bigger pipeline to the internet would have made it un-noticable, but too bad anything on Mandriva has a pre-set update cycle...... Much thanks and regards -- Roger
ianw1974
Clamav has a pre-set update of every hour on all systems, it's in the config file. Not a fault of Mandriva.
